ABHUG 2023

The Australasian Boilers and HRSG Users Group (ABHUG) will conduct its annual meeting at the at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia between Tuesday 14th and Thursday 16th November 2023.

In 2019 the Australasian HRSG Users Group (AHUG) changed the name to ABHUG (Australasian Boiler and HRSG Users Group) so that this important international IAPWS conference could continue to address HRSG aspects along with additional technical areas common in fossil and HRSG plants such as tube failures, steam turbine failures, high energy piping, valves and regulatory issues and cycle chemistry control aspects. The successful first ABHUG conference was held live at the Brisbane Convention Centre in 2019. The 2020 conference was cancelled because of the corona virus pandemic and the 2021 conference was held virtually, then in 2022 a live event returned.

The 2023 conference is planned to be live again at the Brisbane Convention Centre and to feature presentations on plant operation, maintenance, layup, cycle chemistry and materials. It will also feature interactive discussions with presenters, equipment specialists and users. Several workshops will be conducted during this event. One workshop will be on Film Forming Substances (FFS) and other topics will be announced later. All attendees will be encouraged to raise specific technical problems with their Boilers, HRSGs, Steam Turbines and Valves, and then participate while other attendees join in to share their experiences and debate solutions.

There will also be a number of exhibits and sponsors associated with all aspects of Boilers and HRSGs.

Who should attend ..... Managers, engineers, operators, maintenance personnel, equipment suppliers, consultants, and plant service providers. In fact, anyone with an interest in the design, operation, layup, maintenance, or chemistry of an HRSG or boiler.
